11th January 2009
Scoill Ree Gorree was full to capacity with 160 enthusiastic supporters of Ramsey Town Band's concert with guest virtuoso Matthew White on Euphonium. Although only 18, his tone, sensitivity, dexterity and outstanding ability are obvious to all and he thoroughly deserves his burgeoning reputation in the brass band world. Once piece in particular, a funky solo unaccompanied, particularly amazed everyone with its originality and brilliance and gained rapturous applause. Profits from the evening will be put towards the Band's next competition trip soon to Blackpool.
