Another series of panto nights has just finished with several hundred people enjoying the”behind you”and “oh yes you will” and all the other stock dialogue we expect annually.This year was a somewhat loosely interpreted “Aladdin” full of the zany jokes and mayhem , dancing and sketches we laugh at every year. Several band members took various parts on stage and the rest of the band played the supporting music.
The panto troupe as usual worked tremendously hard on the preparations and rehearsals for months beforehand though plenty of humour lightened the load.
Far too many people helped for them all to be named-most of them we all know anyway since they’re the usual crowd both behind and on stage , but this year was exceptional in that the Director/Producer for all 10 pantos , Heather Ruffino , will be leaving us for warmer climes-Sicily.
We’d all like to thank you ,Heather, for the many years of fun we’ve been privileged to enjoy through the pantos as well as all the other contributions you and Francesco have made to Ramsey Town Band.
